The Park

Following the tragic fire, members of the community rallied to clean up a nearby park and build a memorial to the firemen lost. Dedicated on October 22, 1985, Firefighter's Memorial Park is a lasting tribute to the firefighters who died in the Feb 1 fire.

The park is on the northeast corner of Kimball and Diversey, at 2801 N Kimball Ave, Chicago, Illinois. While there are no official hours posted, visitors are encouraged to honor dawn to dusk hours.

The mural in the park was refreshed in 2000.
